I just wanted to take a minute to tell you that we had a wonderful time at your ranch this past Sunday, it was exactly what we have been looking for. And Justin was wonderful with the girls, my daughter tried a couple of times to be scared and Justin was right there to calm her down and make the trip truly enjoyable for all of us. Please tell him thank you from me. My daugther can't wait to come back. Thank you for all from all of us.
Thanks,
Amanda

Dear Texan Friends,
Back in cold Switzerland we think a lot of out time in Bandera!! After planning to stay for the weekend only, it was the best decision to stay for a whole week last August... Our stay with you - the horseback riding with Dale and Justin, our cowboy boots finding experience with Victoria, hay wagon rides with Cap'n and JR – was just wonderful and the highlight of our trip to Texas! It's not just your beautiful ranch but also you guys we miss so much. Your hospitality was far beyond the usual and even though we did spend only a week together, we found most dear friends! Be prepared, we will be back :-)

Victoria, Cap'n, Justin, JR, and Troy..
Tammie and I just returned to Houston after our 1st Anniversary weekend at Twin Elm.. It is always a crap shoot whether the places that are found on the internet live up to the hype of the web pages advertising them. Twin Elm was everything it claimed to be and so much more... While we completely enjoyed the activities such as the rodeo, horseback riding, campfire, roping, branding, hay ride and all the wonderful food; what really made this trip a huge success was the kindness, patience and willingness of all of you to make sure each and every guest was not only happy, but, was treated like family.. Tammie and I almost felt like a member of the ranch.. It was so refreshing to enter a 'different world', a place where you feel respected and treated like a person!! Thanks again for making this such an enjoyable weekend trip!!

Hello Victoria, Capn' and everybody else at Twin Elm!
We had the chance to visit the Twin Elm in the beginning of June this year, as a part of our 2 week Texas journey. After the trip we noticed that the highlight of our holiday was Twin Elm, the place itself, but specially the people. We can't imagine more kind hosts than you guys Victoria and Cap. As a proud father of my 6-year daughter Mimmi I still keep on telling everybody that my girl rode a rodeo race in Texas, o.k it was Mutton bustin but they don't know the difference here in Finland. Hope you guys don't run out of water there, we understood that it haven't rained much in Texas lately? Wish I could find a way to load a couple of tankers with water from our 1000 lakes here in Finland, and send the load to Bandera. It would be nice to hear how you are doing, we are getting ready for winter, it seems that it's going to be early this year, it was only 48F this morning. By the way Mimmi started her school yesterday, it was a moving situation to see your baby going to school. Thank god we know she's going to do fine. Mimmi says hi to Peanut.

Victoria and Capn and JR, TRoy and Justin,
Made it back to Miami safely. We tried to miss the plane but no such luck!! Found out at the airport that Rachel had the room key in her pocket. Will mail it out to you early this week. Please give my email address to JR and ask if he can send pictures of the fawn nursing Dixie. Also Rachel would like updates on the puppies! Thanks for a wonderful vacation and a chance to make new friends. Will be sending pictures soon.
Alice and Rachel

Hi Cap and Victoria,
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay on the ranch. We loved the experience. We posted some pictures on Trip Advisor with high recommendations. Your hospitality was out standing and wrangler Justin our favorite.
Thank you all so much,

Thank you so much for making my family and I's stay here so wonderful. Everyone was kindness itself and we could feel it was genuine. Thank you so much, I had a GREAT time. Good memories were made, that's for sure. May God bless ya'll at the Twin Elm Ranch and all you're doing here.
Sarah Moyer & Family

Hello all!
We were your only visitors for one night last week, and we wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed our stay. It was a highlight of our 3-week road trip. We hope to come back soon.
Thank you so much!
Lori

We had a great stay at Twin Elms about two years ago and my daughter, Logan, fell in love with a small white horse names "Spot". We'll be in Austin in November and she wants to drive to visit Spot! I'm not sure it will fit into our schedule but I'm wondering if Spot is still at the ranch and if you'll be open in November. If we can make the drive, we'll bring carrots and apples.
Thanks,
Ashley

Hi Cap'n, Victoria, & Judi!
Thanks for another fun & relaxing vacation. Justine, Samantha and us are looking forward to next year already. Ya'll might not be the biggest, but the friendly atmosphere and fun activities is just right for us. We all send our love to Lilly and look forward to seeing her next year.
Best Regards,
Robert, Dottie and Justine Rowland,

Dear Twin Elm,
I really enjoyed my time here. Thank you guys so much for making me feel at home. I have been to many places, but you guys are the only people that actually made me feel like I belong here. Thanks! Please tell Peanut that I love him and will miss him a lot! Because of you guys I have been trying to convince my mom that I need a horse. Thank you for everything!
Love,
Jessi Szasz

Cap'n Kury and Mz. Victoria,
To all at the Twin Elm, Thanks for branding me ya'lls! You made me feel right at home! Thank you all so much! I can not express enough how grateful I am and how blessed I am to have arrived at your home and how you allowed me to make it my home!
With Love,
Melodie

Cap'n Kury and Mz. Victoria,
Thank you very much for my complimentary weekend at Twin Elm Ranch. It was quite an experience for "an old lady" and it didn't seem like it had been 70 years since I was there at the young age of 18 in 1940. Things were quite changed of course. Only the two rock buildings were there then, and, of course, of the corral. I enjoyed my visit and appreciate the opportunity of being there again and thank you for your hospitality. My daughter and son (and myself) "got a kick" out of my being "Queen Of The Rodeo" and I thank you for that "recognition." I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Thanks Again,
Blanche Hershey

Hi Mz. Victoria

Thanks and take care,
David, San Antonio, TX

Hey Everyone,
I want to thank you all again for the most amazing holiday I’ve ever had. I highly doubt I will ever be able to top it, thanks to all of you for looking after me, entertaining me, feeding me, and help getting me home! I couldn’t have possibly imagined I would get to experience life with you guys as I did. Being able to ride to the pubs on Sunday, the rodeo & 'pick-up party' in the back of the truck, joining the guys to look for the new horses.. all normal stuff to you guys, but it really made my holiday and I am forever grateful that you invited me to join in! You’re all so friendly and fun loving, there were many nights I went to bed with a slight headache from laughing - but it was totally worth it! It still hurts a little to sit down, but it’s cool, my cushions are very soft!

Hugs to everyone
Love Nikky xx UK

Cap'n Kury and staff,

I can not begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay with y'all. (We were the big Spanish-speaking family with all the kiddos, this past weekend). I honestly thought that we would have gone, tried the dude ranch thing and never go back. I was sooo wrong! We loved it! And to tell you the truth, the biggest part of our return is the staff. From the cooks, to Brittney, Justin (both of them), Zach, his wife, Rowdy and Cota, Dale and all the other "dead Eyes" around there, y'all made us feel at home. We live in the country, we've been around horses, we've gone down rivers so none of this was new to us, however the family feeling of all of you was awesome! There was not one thing we asked that we got a "no" or "i don't know." Cap'n, thank you and your wife for the smiles and small talk and keep up the amazing staff, the fact that y'all are families working together, adds so much to the value of the place. We will definately be back, even if it's just to stop by to say hi. Thanks!

Peggy

I am not very good with computers, but I went to the Internet and tried to give you guys the greatest reviews I know you deserve. I could only get into two of them, but I hope people read them. Now if you get too busy for me to come I will have to revise those:) We had the best time. I know all of your guests are very important, but you really know how to make us all feel special. We fell in love with every one there( especially the grand kids). Joshua is ready to join the rodeo circuit. Boss man is the new love of my life. Yes, Rory knows I said that. Hope you all had a great day off. You deserve it. If you ever need a room in Austin give us a call. God bless you for being there.

Muffie, Rory and Joshua

Cap & Victoria,
My family visited the Twin Elm Ranch and enjoyed our stay. It appears to be going through a positive management turnover and they are making a good impact. The ranch itself needs work, horse barn, and could see the changes coming soon. The staff was terrific, the ranglers were fun. They did it all from taking us out on horses to singing songs at the campfire, thanks Daryl. The food was basic but, very good. It was served by harmonic sounds and there was plenty to eat. The food was basic I said but, I really enjoyed it. Now let me tell you about Victoria and the Captain. They manage the place. They made the visit worth while. Did I forget to say that they have a rodeo on site. They do! You want to ride horses, eat plenty of food and be with others who seem like family then give this place a try. If you need to be entertained every minute of your day you may choose another place.

August, 2010

Cap & Victoria,

Dear Miss Victoria My daughter Sarah and I came to stay at Twin Elm for 5 days in early August this year. I am writing to thank you for giving us such a terrific time. We loved every minute of our time with you. Everybody made us feel very welcome; the wranglers were great. Even I as a novice rider felt completely safe in their care. Sarah especially liked Justin. We would also like to say hi to Sandra. Her home cooking was fantastic; in fact it was the best food we ate on our entire holiday in the U.S. Sarah still talks about Sandra’s chocolate cake! It was really nice meeting so many different, friendly people; both people that work on the ranch and other guests and also being able to relax, surrounded by nature. I have never slept better! We hope to return in 2012 for another week. Please say hi to everyone from us and we will see you in a couple of years. Thanks again for making our time with you so great. Love to everyone.

December 2010

Cap'n & Twin Elm Staff,

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank all of you for making our family vacation a very memorable one. As we shared, we are spread out all over the world and to be able to be in one place where we felt at home and like extended family, was awesome. We found everybody at the ranch both guests and employees very friendly and it was a pleasure to visit with the employees and have them so willing to help. We will definitely keep the ranch in mind for our next trip. Realizing when you host people as you did us this weekend you never know who your guests might be, I thought I would share with you who we are....A very well seasoned Travel Agent specializing in leisure travel in Houston, an ex-Travel Agent from Australia, a Family Medical Dr., a General Contractor, a Recruiter for one of the very large international recruiting companies head quartered in Houston, a Manager of a medical practice, an Ex-Senior Estimator for a large mechanical company, and then me. Between us, we cover a ton of ground and as we all know, word of mouth is the best advertisement. Keep up the good work and thanks again for a fantastic Thanksgiving that will not soon be forgotten. Fond regards,

Michelle Kerbow
